Noah, thank you for your kind words. I was grateful to find this idea for prayer in Keller’s book; it came at a time when I was having great difficulty finding words to pray, and then suddenly, with the help of thinking of the Lord’s Prayer as a structure to guide our thoughts: poetry.
I love this in every way. Reminds me of Don Whitney’s book Praying the Bible. Praying God’s words back to him. This has become the basis even for many of my poems and songs. Love to see your practice of this in a communal setting as well, Deidre!
