That's a great essay and I especially love the last paragraph about the 4th dimension :) Who doesn't struggle with our mind pinging around in every direction when we 're talking to God. I like the illustration of Jesus cooking eggs. Maybe I'll think of God sitting on the porch outside with me on the porch and looking at the chipmunks.

I really like the idea of God sitting with you on the porch. He'd probably be feeding the chipmunks from the palm of his hand and laughing at them, too.

I loved this egg making part too! Hoping it might help with my mind wandering struggles!

Honestly—I don't know why it's eggs. He's always scrambling eggs.

I would LOVE to hear what you see when you picture yourself going into God's home!

Well I assume it's warm and pleasant weather of course. Not too hot. So obviously, we're outside chillin on the back patio, maybe grilling, snacking on fruit, lemonade in hand, birds chirping, everything at ease.

That sounds wonderful. Especially now, in the middle of March 😬

This was so eye opening Deidre. I have never thought of imagination and God in the same breath and I love the idea of sort of being in two places at once. Beautiful.

Yes! I had this thought about imagination not being a silly, make-believe thing, but rather a God-given, very important tool, sometime this summer. I haven't been able to leave it alone in my mind since!

Very beautiful poem. I don't remember these excerscises as a child but I see God. I actually find it odd when people say we don't see him or that he is invisible and perhaps that is because he is so present and tangible. God gives us the ability to be with him at the same time that we are in our every day life. For me it illustrates being a sojourner on earth and at the same time being a citizen of heaven. I think this may be your 4th dimension. It is truly wonderful ❤️

I love what you write about "being a sojourner on earth" and a "citizen of heaven"—at the same time. Yes, I believe our imaginations help us exist as both, at the same time.
