Jody, yes she sure is! She is delightful to talk to. I'm so glad you fell down the rabbit hole to here, too! I just saw that you're a fellow poet? WELCOME!
Oh I just love her! Such a great conversation! I too tend to notebook hoard and neglect journaling, but I have never heard of a commonplace journal and it sounds right up my alley! I am definitely going to start keeping one of these!
Yay! I love her too, and I'm jazzed that you got inspired to start a commonplace journal. Me too—now I just have to remember to bring it with me, rather than picking up whatever journal happens to be in the room/car where I find myself.
Haha agreed! I end up with random notes in my notes app and 7 other journals. And never look back at them for years because the task of going through them seems daunting.
Just requested Growing Slow from the library and put the journal on my Christmas list ☺️ I’ve been an avid journaler since junior high so this was right up my alley!! Thanks for a great conversation, I loved listening in ♥️
Jennifer Dukes Lee is the real deal.... I'm so glad to have fallen down this Substack rabbit hole and found your interview. Thanks Deidre!

I've known Jennifer online for nearly 12 years, so I look forward to listening to your interview with her.
And yes I am a fellow poet, I found you via Kimberly Phinney. It's so great to be connected, here's what I'm up to https://jodycollins.substack.com/p/how-an-online-book-club-can-build
